UBPML was developed as part of the OOEM - Object Oriented Enterprise Model, which is designed to holistically describe enterprise information systems.
OOEM models are intended to serve as input for EM/OS - Enterprise Model Operation Services, which creates productional application systems out of them. EM/OS is a product of Hamburg based Sphenon GmbH.
